Latin Name: Acanthurus nigricauda
Common Name: Epanlette tang, whitecheek tang, teardrop
tang
Habitat: Indo-Pacific, From east Africa to Japan and
through all of Micronesia to Tuamotu.
Sex: none however large males develop a frontal hump
Size: 30cm
Temperature: 22° - 27°C (72° - 81°F)
Water Chemistry: pH: 7.8 to 8.5, hard - very hard.
Food: Adapts well to all live food, prefers plankton
substitutes. can be adapted to flake food, also nori and other algae foods.

Notes: Not a widely sort after fish due to its size.
can be keeped in schools mixes well with other tank makes including other
tangs. A. nigricauda can quilkly change colours from dark gray to light
gray to indicate moods.
