Latin Name: Zebrasoma scopas

Common Name: Brown sailfin tang, Brush tail sailfin tang

Habitat: indo-pacific, from east Africa to Japan and Tuamotu.

Sex: None; male grow larger then female.

Size: up to 17cm

Temperature: 22° - 27°C (72° - 81°F)

Water Chemistry: pH: 7.8 to 8.5, hard - very hard.

Food: Do not limit its menu to lettuce and spinach. feed artemia, mysis, frozen and pellet and flake food.

Difficulty: 3 Stars (moderate)

Notes: Juveniles are more colourful than adults, and are very similar to Z. flavescens. it was previously assumed to be merely a colour variation of Z. flavescens. relatively peaceful towards other tank mates and will live well in a reef tank. these fish have been kept in schooled but can be territory and defensive with its caudal peduncle spines.
