Magnificent Anemone

Latin Name: Heteractis Magnigica
Common Name: Magnifica anemone, ocellaris anemone
Habitat: Indo-Pacific, From the red sea to Samoa.
Sex: Asexual, no different sexes. can reproduce by splitting
into two.
Size: can reach a diameter of up to 100cm
Temperature: 22° - 27°C (72° - 81°F)
Water Chemistry: pH: 7.8 to 8.5, hard - very hard.
Food: Fish, mussel, frozen white bait, squid, and crustacean
meat

Notes: Very widely available anemone, suitable to a
variety of clown fishes, ocellaris clown fishes being the favourite with
these creatures. The body always has an intense colour, ranging from green,
greenish brown, and white to sky blue and violet to name a few. the surface
can be smooth or covered in blister like swellings, the result of longitudinal
and cross grooves. a fantastic anemone to have in the aquarium however
due to the size of them, they are recommended only for large aquariums.
