Rosy Barb

Latin Name: Barbus Conchonis
Common Name: Rosy Barb
Habitat: Northern India
Sex: Males are smaller and more red in colouration while the females are larger and almost a faded yellow / light red colour.
Size: Up to 4 inches (10 cm)
Temperature: 18° - 26°C (64° to 79°F)
Water Chemistry: pH: 6.5 to 7.5, soft to slightly hard.
Food: Anything from flakes and small pellets (granules) through to frozen and live foods.
Notes: A small and usually peaceful fish that can be kept in a temperate (unheated) aquarium. Groups of at least 6 is advised, taking care to not keep together with shy or delicate fish. They are know to be a little fin nippy so mixing with angels and other long fin variety fish is against.
